Election E-Journey Week 2

Host a GMO Free Potluck with Reflection Materials

Farmers with the Negros Nine Foundation in the Philippines

God called us to be co-gardeners in the garden (Genesis 2:15) and to be One Bread, One Body. We must protect the gift of Creation, the gift of life and nourishment by ensuring that life is not patented. We can do this by eating mindfully- without pesticides and genetically engineered seeds.

We invite you Join us in commemorating International Food Week, October 15-22nd, as part of the 2012 Election E-Journey. The current and incoming elected public servants will be critical for ensuring a just U.S. Farm Bill. Understanding more about how GMOs and farm policy affect small farmers at home and abroad is critical. Gather together friends for a potluck and discussion around GMOs and food justice . Encourage everyone to use GMO-free grains and other local or organic ingredients as they are able.

When you pledge to host the potluck, you will receive a reflection, prayer materials, a sample recipe, and a sample letter to Congress on the Farm Bill- all from the Columban Center for Advocacy and Outreach. Fill out the form below to make your pledge
