U.S. Military Issues

| June 16, 2010 Print

We are concerned with some elements of the U.S. Military presence abroad. In some cases U.S. bases abroad serve to weaken democratic structures in host countries.

In other cases, funding is provided by the American government to foreign militaries that have not shown consistent respect for human rights and the rule of law.

As with all of our advocacy priorities, we work to ensure that American legislation and foreign policy promote justice and foster peace at home and abroad.
