Lord, have mercy.
Christ, have mercy.
Lord, have mercy.

St. Coljumban, pilgrim and wanderer for Christ, pray for us.
St. Coljumban, disciple of Christ, ”
St. Coljumban, true to the Word of God, ”
St. Coljumban, dove of peace,
St. Coljumban, friend of nature,
St. Coljumban, lover of animals,
St. Coljumban, protector of the environment,
St. Coljumban, healer of the sick,
St. Coljumban, courageous and fearless,
St. Coljumban, caring and brotherly,
St. Coljumban, forgiving and rich in mercy,
St. Coljumban, contemplative, close to God,
St. Coljumban, monk and missionary,
St. Coljumban, man of justice and integrity,
St. Coljumban, man of freedom and liberty,

Blessed Columban, who in your zeal follow Christ left your homeland as a wanderer and spent your life in suffering and exile, help and protect, we humbly ask you, the missionaries of our day who have devoted their lives to preaching the Gospel throughout the world.

Obtain for them, we ask you, that same wisdom and fortitude by which you overcame the dangers, which beset your path and that firm faith and ardent love, which enabled you to endure gladly the privations of this life for the love of Chist.

Assist and protect us, also, St. Columban, so as to live for God’s glory that when our pilgrimage is over, we may share with hou in the joy of our heavenly home, through Chist, our Lord. Amen
