I have had a lot of work in the clinic and the library, but I want to tell you that the soccer team won two trophies.

matachines, mexican dance, youth education

A closer look at two dancers in the matachines outfits.

We have been doing a lot of work.  First of all, for the Feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe.  I don’t know if I mentioned it to you, but we have a traditional dance group, the matachines as many people call it, made up only of young people from the scholarship project, and who participate in the library center.

I also prepared the posada for the children at Christmas, although this year it was very difficult due to the fact that there were no donations.  In any case, I wanted to organize a posada with the children, with food, piñatas and candies.

Also, this past December, a young person from preparatory school graduated.

I want to share with you our good wishes for this year.  We are praying to God a lot, for this year to be better for our city, and above all for our families and children, since with this present situation our children are those who most suffer.

I want to inform you, as well, that due to the problem of violence, many families have emigrated from here and returned to their places of origin. The lack of available work is also a cause for their departures. I’d like to ask you to please pray fervently for peace in the world, for the children’s sake, and for our community’s sake.
