O Mary, you are praying for us, you are always praying for us. We know it, we feel it. Oh what joy and truth, what sublime glory, in this heavenly and human interchange of sentiments, words and actions, which the rosary always brings us: the tempering of our human afflictions, the foretaste of the peace that is not of this world, the hope of eternal life! – Pope John XXIII
Lord Jesus Christ, who are called the Prince of Peace, who are yourself our peace and reconciliation, who so often said, "Peace to you," grant us peace. Make all men and women witnesses of truth, justice, and brotherly love. Banish from their hearts whatever might endanger peace. Enlighten our rulers that they may guarantee and defend the great gift of peace. May all peoples of the earth becomes as brothers and sisters. May longed-for peace blossom forth and reign always over us all. – Pope John XXIII

We pray through Christ our Lord. Amen. – Archdiocese of Detroit
God of power and mercy, you destroy war and put down earthly pride. Banish violence from our midst and wipe away our tears, that we may all deserve to be called your sons and daughters. Keep in your mercy those men and women who have died in the cause of freedom and bring them safely into your kingdom of justice and peace. We ask this though Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
Mighty Lord you have set us down in the middle of your creation and given us work to do. Give us also the things of the new creation that we may be held in faith and do your work for now as we wait in joy for your glory to be revealed. Amen.

Heavenly Father, as we dedicate the Columban Martyr Memorial Garden, We pray for your faithful Columban Martyrs Who gave their lives spreading your Word. Lord, we are mindful that so great is our love for you That even though we walk in a world where speaking your name can mean certain death Your faithful still speak it. Help us work for a world where all may speak their creeds And pray their prayers Without fear of violence. Hear the prayers of those who abide with you in dangerous times and in dark valleys, And who die with your name on their lips. Draw them quickly to your side Where they might know eternal peace. Amen.
Dear Jesus, at this evening tide I come to rest with you after the day's works. Slowing down, enjoying the calm I know the limits of effort and vain success. All shall be well. Amen. – Columban Fr. John Comiskey
Virgin Most Holy, Mother of the incarnate Word and our Mother, venerated in the Shrine of Sheshan under the title "Help of Christians", the entire Church in China looks to you with devout affection. Our Lady of Sheshan, sustain all those in China, who, amid their daily trials, continue to believe, to hope, to love. May they never be afraid to speak of Jesus to the world and of the world to Jesus. In the statue overlooking the Shrine you lift your Son on high, offering him to the world with open arms in a gesture of love. Help Catholics always to be credible witnesses to this love, ever clinging to the rock of Peter on which the Church is built. Mother of China and all Asia, pray for us, now and for ever. Amen. - Pope Benedict XVI
Lord, bless our children. May they grow to be happy and healthy. May they realize that money isn’t everything. May they be freed from greed and be generous. May they put others needs ahead of their own. May they grow up to love and protect their families. And, may they still have a place for you in their hearts. Amen.
Father, I have knowledge, so will You show me now, How to use it wisely and find a way somehow To make the world I live in a little better place, And make life with its problems a little bit easier to face. Grant me faith and courage and put purpose in my days, And show me how to serve Thee in effective ways. So my education, my knowledge and my skill May find their true fulfillment as I learn to do Thy will. And may I ever be aware in everything I do, That knowledge comes from learning, and wisdom comes from You. Amen.
