Fr. Kevin Mullins with youth from the Corpus Christi Parish

Fr. Mullins has been working with the people of Ciudad Juaraz and Anapra, Mexico, for over nine years. Reports about the ongoing drug war and increasing violence in the area are frequently in the news.

In short, it is a violent and dangerous area for everyone living there. Most of the people living in the area are economically poor and undereducated. The living conditions are difficult, and there is an urgent need for programs to keep young people in school and away from the drug trade. The focus of Fr. Mullins’ work is to prevent the youth from succumbing to the lure of the drug trade, to keep them away from the violence.

The Columban Fathers will be hosting a Benefactor Event on Saturday, May 21st at the Korean Martyrs Catholic Center, 7655 Trask Ave. Westminster, CA 92683.

Fr. Thomas Reynolds will be hosting with Fr. Kevin Mullins. The presentation begins at 2:30 followed by Mass at 4:00 p.m.
