Serenity Poem

Snow-covered mountains with stream of glacial runoff.

By Hazel Angwani

sheep grazingThe sweet and minty smell of the mountain air
The sound of glacier water flowing from the melting ice
The thunderous sound of an avalanche
The glistening white of the snow-capped mountains
The still figure of goats and sheep as they fed on the grass
A mix of different colored flowers that is unique in high altitude areas
The fast-paced clouds you can watch on a time-lapse
A song that you suddenly sing as you look around you in awe and wonder
A feeling of gratitude for making it to where you want to be despite all the challenges of a long and winding journey.

Poem by Columban lay missionary Hazel Angwani
