O God, who by the preaching
and teaching of Saint John Chrysostom
has given us an example of fortitude
in the face of persecution and political corruption,
grant that we who reverence his life and ministry
may also imitate his example of fidelity to wisdom,
truth, justice, and beauty, through Jesus Christ Our Lord.
