Little Infant of Jesus of good Health, God of Love, born to suffer for me! In You above all do I find the courage and strength I need in the trials and troubles that weight so heavily upon me. By the Sorrows of Your Most Holy Mother, I implore You to lighten the burdens of my soul with Your holy consolations and to relieve my bodily infirmities with Your Merciful Kindness, if it so pleases the will of our Father in Heaven. Amen.

Dear Loving and Compassionate God, Giver of all gifts, we pray especially today for the mercy and love You give us. Open our hearts and minds to You. Give us the grace to accept your mercy. As we live each day, we pray for those less fortunate, especially those who are hurting, and whose wounds need to be healed. Help us become involved in ways that show them how deeply we care. Give us the personal courage to listen to their concerns and help them find the solutions to which they are entitled as Your children and our brothers and sisters. Amen.

We like everything to be black and white. We don't like grey areas, but it seems to me that life is mostly lived in grey areas as we struggle to reach truth. I pray for anybody living in the grey areas of life today. Anyone dealing with their wounds. Anyone feeling alone and unloved. I pray that I may always respond with compassion to people and that I may meet compassion in people when i most need it. Amen – By Columban Fr. Eamon Sheridan

Almighty God who is the Light of the world, grant us Your heavenly blessing. May the radiance of Your Light illumine our hearts and brighten our home with the spirit of faith and love. Let the Light of Your Presence guide us, for in Your Light do we see light. Bless us also with Your Spirit, that happiness and peace may ever abide in all men. Amen.

Father, take the lives of our teens.
We offer them to You with open hands.
Through the example of Jesus,
each them to surrender their lives fully to You.

Bless them with the knowledge that they are Your beloved ones
and that they truly belong to a community of love and mercy.
Break open their hearts so that the seed of the Word
and the power of the Eucharist can be planted in fertile ground,
take root and transform their lives.

Give these teens to the world with the power of the Holy Spirit
to witness to the love of Jesus and serve Him in each person they meet.

No matter what problem I have, Lord, You are bigger, You are more powerful than it is. So I bring my problem to You. I know what I want. I know my will. I do not know Yours. I do not know how You will use this problem for my salvation. I do not know what good You will workout from this evil. But I trust You. I trust Your goodness and Your wisdom. So I place myself in Your hands. Please fill my heart with peace. Amen.

Loving God, in Your goodness You have given us the gift of life. I ask Your pardon and forgiveness for my own failure and the failure of all people in this world to protect and respect this gift You have given us. I pray that with Your grace I and all the people will respect, reverence, and protect all life of the unborn, the abused, neglected, disabled, and the elderly. Guide all who make decision about life, that they will do so with wisdom, love, and courage. In Your name Father, Source of all life, Son, Savior of our lives, and Spirit, Sanctifier of our lives - I pray. Amen.

Let me pause as I begin this new day to give it to You, Lord. Before the tumult of activities breaks in; before breakfast plates crash through my still sleepy mind; for this last moment in my bed, thank you, Lord. Let me hold Your promise of new life. Keep me from slipping back for I know that what is forgiven is as if it never were. Each new day, Your grace gives me a fresh start to walk in Your light again. May the Lord support us all the day long, till the shades lengthen and the evening comes, and the busy world is hushed, and the fever of life is over, and our work is done. Then in His mercy may He give us a safe lodging, and a holy rest, and peace at the last. Amen.

O Jesus, You are the Love and Life of my soul. I find true peace and real happiness only in Your love, in Your service, and in the imitation of Your virtues. I offer myself to You; do what You will with me; from now on my motto shall be, "All for Jesus!"

Jesus Christ, Lord of all things, You see my heart; You know my desires. Possess all that I am, You alone. I am Your sheep; make me worthy to overcome the evil that tempts me daily. Amen.

January 25, 2017

Lord, please put Your peace in my heart. I'm worried and anxious. My mind races and obsesses. I can't help thinking about my problems. And the more I think about them, the more depressed I become. I feel like I'm sinking down in quicksand and can't get out. Calm me, Lord. Slow me down, put Your peace in my heart.

O holy Angels, watch over us at all times during this perilous life: O holy Archangels, be our guides on the way to heaven; O heavenly choir of the Principalities, govern us in soul and body; O mighty Powers, preserve us against the wiles of the demons; O celestial Virtues, give us strength and courage in the battle of life; O sacred Thrones, grant us peace with God and man; O brilliant Cherubim, illuminate our minds with heavenly knowledge; O burning Seraphim, kindle in our hearts the fire of charity. Amen.

It is sweet music to the ear to say: I honor you, O Mother! It is a sweet song to repeat: I honor you, O holy Mother! You are my delight, dear hope, and chaste love, my strength in all adversities. If my spirit that is troubled and stricken by passions suffers from the painful burden of sadness and weeping, if you see your child overwhelmed by misfortune, O gracious Virgin Mary, let me find rest in your motherly embrace. But alas, already the last day is quickly approaching. Banish the demon to the infernal depths, and stay closer, dear Mother, to your aged and erring child.

Mercy of God, encompass us, and deliver us from every plague. Eternal Father, sign us with the Blood of the Immaculate Lamb, as You signed the dwellings of Your people. Most precious Blood of Jesus, our love, cry for mercy for us from Your Divine Father, and deliver us. Wounds of my Jesus, mouths of love and mercy, speak for us in pity to the Eternal Father; hide us within Yourselves and deliver us.

January 21, 2017

O God, who hallowed the standard of the life-giving Cross by the precious blood of Your only-begotten Son; grant, we beseech You, that they who rejoice in honoring the same holy Cross, may rejoice also in Your ever-present protection. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
