O God, who gave us joy by the yearly festival
of Your blessed martyr and bishop Clement;
grant that we who keep his birthday
may also imitate his fortitude in suffering.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
Who lives and reigns with You
in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God,
world without end.
