O Almighty God,
who has given me my father and mother,
and made them an image of Your authority,
and love, and tender watchfulness;
and has commanded me to love, and honor,
and obey them in all things:
Give me the grace to cheerfully keep Your law.
Help me to love and honor them,
to obey their wishes,
to study their happiness,
and always listen to them
with patience and humility.
Deliver me O God, from pride,
rebellion and stubbornness.
Make me diligent in my work and studies,
and patient in all my trials;
so I may deserve to be Your child,
who are our Father in Heaven.
