Hail! most blessed Jesus,
eternal Son of the Most High God,
Please be merciful to those for whom we pray;
You died on the cross for their sakes,
give rest to their souls.
To whom shall we turn, but to You?
You have the words of the eternal life,
by which You can shorten their sufferings,
and give them eternal rest.
