With the birth of the child Jesus a new adventure in faith begins. On this Christmas Day we are invited to share the message of hope. We are invited to take our own place in the dark of the manger and behold the gift of God wrapped in swaddling clothes.
For us, and for millions of people since the birth of Christ, we have a new way not just of understanding life but of living it. Untold numbers have been grasped by this child from Bethlehem, have been caught up in his message, and have had their lives profoundly changed by him. Let us rejoice in the one who reveals the face of God to us.
Let us take the child with us into our daily lives. Let us not leave him in the crib, but rather welcome into our hearts the gift of God in Jesus. In Jesus we have the sure proof that God loves us, and we all need to live in the assurance of that love.
