A New Beginning in Christ

Two hands reaching for each other with a light and cross in the middle

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

The word FAITH written on paper in a pile of dirt with a bible and flowers near byLord, I begin this new year with a heart of thanksgiving. Thank You for carrying me through the past year, with all its joys, struggles, and lessons. Thank You that in Christ I am not bound by yesterday, but made new each day by Your mercy and grace. January reminds me of fresh starts, and I rejoice that in You I have the greatest new beginning of all—eternal life through Jesus. Thank You for health, for family, for church, and for the simple daily bread that sustains me.

Thank You for unseen protection and for the countless mercies I overlook. Teach me to begin each day of this year with gratitude rather than worry, with prayer rather than complaint. May my resolutions not be about self-reliance, but about deeper dependence on You. Thank You that every day is another opportunity to glorify You.
