Merciful God, you promise to make straight the paths
and level the mountains that separate us from You.
We ask for the grace to recognize the deserts
in our own hearts — the dry places
where faith struggles and hope falters.
Transform these barren landscapes
into gardens of Your grace.
Give us the courage to remove the obstacles
we have erected between ourselves and Your love,
that we may walk freely on the highway of holiness
You have prepared for Your people.
