Grant us, we ask You, O Lord,
the help of Your grace:
that duly applying ourselves to fasting and prayers,
we may be delivered from enemies of mind and of body.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
Who lives and reigns,
with the Holy Ghost,
One God, world without end.
