Lord, give us courage to remain faithful
when following You becomes difficult.
Through the witness of Your saints and martyrs, remind us
that truth is worth defending and love is worth sacrificing for.
Keep us from being controlled by fear of rejection
or concern about what others may think.
Give us wisdom to speak with charity,
conviction to live according to the Gospel,
and humility to recognize that our lives
should always point beyond ourselves to Christ.
Amen.
