Light of the world, we rejoice as Simeon once did
when he held You in his arms.
You come humbly into the temple,
fulfilling the promise of salvation.
Purify our hearts as Mary and Joseph offered You
to the Father.
May we recognize You in the ordinary moments of life
and carry Your light faithfully into the world,
proclaiming Your mercy through lives of obedience and love.
