Most Merciful Heart of Jesus,
when You saw the suffering of the sick and the marginalized,
You were moved with pity.
Soften our hearts today so that we do not
become indifferent to our neighbors' pain.
Give us the grace to reach out to the "lepers"
of our modern society – the lonely, the forgotten,
and the unloved, bringing them – Your touch
of healing and hope.
Amen.
