God of mercy,
You gave the Church Saint John Paul II as a witness
of courage, hope, and trust in Christ.
Help us follow his example by opening our hearts
to Your grace.
Give us courage to cross the thresholds of fear
and enter more deeply into discipleship.
Strengthen families, young people, the elderly, the poor,
and all who seek meaning in their lives.
May we proclaim through our lives
that Christ is the hope of the world.
Amen.
