Prayer for the Feast of St. John

O God, who sees that on every side
we are afflicted by our evils;
deny us not, we ask You,
the safeguard of the glorious intercession
of blessed John Your apostle and evangelist.
Through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son,
Who lives and reigns with You
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
world without end.
