Lord, You scatter the seed of Your Word
generously on all types of ground.
Help us to be the "good soil" today.
Remove the rocks of selfishness and pull up
the thorns of worldly anxiety that threaten to choke Your grace.
May Your Word take deep root in us,
producing a harvest of thirty, sixty, or a hundredfold
for the glory of Your Heavenly Kingdom.
