O Lord, in Saint John the Baptist
You gave the world a fearless prophet
and a faithful forerunner.
As he spoke truth to power and gave his life
for righteousness, may we, too, stand firm
in proclaiming Your justice.
Let us never fear rejection, but live only
for Your truth and glory.
