Heavenly Father, Your Son calls us to remain awake in faith,
ready to welcome Him with joyful hearts whenever He comes.
Keep our lamps burning with the oil of prayer, charity,
and steadfast hope.
When we grow weary or distracted by the concerns of this world,
awaken us to Your presence and renew our trust in Your promises.
Lead us faithfully until we rejoice forever in Your heavenly banquet.
Through Christ our Lord.
