Lord Jesus, You called Matthew from his ordinary work
and invited him to become Your disciple.
Thank You for reminding me that no life is beyond Your call
and no past is too broken for Your mercy.
Help me hear Your invitation when You call me to change direction.
Give me Matthew's courage to leave behind what keeps me from You
and follow with a generous heart.
Amen.
