All-powerful God, You are present in the whole universe
and in the smallest of Your creatures.
You embrace with Your tenderness all that exists.
Pour out upon us the power of Your love,
that we may protect life and beauty.
Fill us with peace, that we may live
as brothers and sisters, harming no one.
O God of the poor, help us to rescue the abandoned
and forgotten of this earth, so precious in your eyes.
Bring healing to our lives, that we may protect
the world and not prey on it, that we may sow beauty,
not pollution and destruction.
Touch the hearts of those who look only for gain
at the expense of the poor and the earth.
Teach us to discover the worth of each thing,
to be filled with awe and contemplation,
to recognize that we are profoundly united
with every creature as we journey towards
your infinite light.
We thank you for being with us each day.
Encourage us, we pray, in our struggle
for justice, love and peace.

Amen.

Father, in Your goodness
grant me the intellect to comprehend You,
the perception to discern You,
and the reason to appreciate You.
In You r kindness endow me
with the diligence to look for You,
the wisdom to discover You,
and the spirit to apprehend You.
In Your graciousness
bestow on me a heart to contemplate You,
ears to hear You,
eyes to see You,
and a tongue to speak of You.
In your mercy confer on me a conversation pleasing to You,
the patience to wait for You,
and the perseverance to long for You.
Grant me a perfect end,
Your holy presence.

Amen.

Hear us, O God, our Savior,
and by the prayers of glorious Mary,
Mother of God, and ever-Virgin,
of St. Sebastian, Your martyr,
and of all the saints,
deliver Your people from the present affliction,
and in Your bounty let them feel certain
of Your mercy.

Lord, mercifully heed our requests,
and heal our infirmities of body and soul;
so that knowing Your forgiveness
we may ever rejoice in Your blessing.

Amen.

O God remember forever my dear ones,
who have gone to their eternal rest.
May they be at one with the One Who is life eternal.
May the beauty of their lives shine forevermore,
and may my life always bring honor to their memory.

Amen.

Blessed Virgin Mary,
who can worthily repay you with praise
and thanks for having rescued a fallen world
by your generous consent!
Receive our gratitude,
and by your prayers obtain the pardon of our sins.
Take our prayers into the sanctuary of heaven
and enable them to make our peace with God.

Great St. Monica,
patroness of fathers and mothers,
please take our children,
especially those who have turned
from the ways of God and His Church,
under your protection.
Let them always remain faithful
to their baptismal vows.
Give them strength to walk always
in the ways of the Lord,
despite the temptations
and false values they find in the world today.
Grant that they may share with you
in the joys of eternal life in God.

Amen.

Glorious Queen of peace, grant us
peace in our hearts, harmony in our families
and concord throughout the world.
Immaculate Mother, as patroness
of our beloved country, watch over us
and protect us with your motherly love.

Amen.

O God, Who exalted blessed Louis Your Confessor
from an earthly realm to the glory
of Your Heavenly kingdom:
grant, we pray to You, that by his merits
and intercession we may be made heirs
of the King of Kings, Your Son our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who lives and reigns for ever and ever.

Amen.

O Eternal God and loving father,
you have given us the glorious Apostle Bartholomew
as our beloved Patron Saint
and powerful advocate in heaven.

Teach us to cherish, proclaim,
and practice the Gospel message of Christ,
which Saint Bartholomew so eloquently preached
and finally sealed with his heroic martyrdom.

Admirable Saint Rose,
you were truly a sweet flower blooming
on a rugged soil;
you were indeed a rose among thorns,
bearing with meekness and patience
the stings of envious tongues,
and preserving perfect purity and modesty
amid the alluring blandishments of a deceitful world.
To the sufferings inflicted on you by others
you added the voluntary tortures of fasting
and watching, of the discipline,
of the crown of thorns and of the hair shirt,
to subdue the flesh and to make yourself
like to your heavenly Spouse.
By the merits which you have thus gained
with your Divine Bridegroom,
obtain for me the grace to bear my afflictions
with patience, to remain pure and modest,
to be meek and humble,
to be faithful to the inspirations of the Holy Spirit,
and so to mortify my passions that I may be ever more
pleasing and acceptable in the sight of my dear Lord
and Savior, Jesus Christ,
Who lives and reigns world without end.

Amen.

Lord, for all the doctors and nurses,
for all family, friends and neighbors,
for all who care about me when I’m down
I ask Your blessing upon them all.

May Your face shine upon them
and bless me.

May You gaze favorably upon them
and look after them.

May You look upon them with kindness
and give them your peace.

Amen.

Glorious St. Joseph,
model of all those who are devoted to labor,
obtain for me the grace to work conscientiously,
putting the call of duty above my many sins;
to work with thankfulness and joy,
considering it an honor to employ and develop,
by means of labor,
the gifts received from God;
to work with order,
peace, prudence and patience,
never surrendering to weariness or difficulties;
to work, above all, with purity of intention,
and with detachment from self,
having always death before my eyes
and the account which I must render of time lost,
of talents wasted,
of good omitted,
of vain complacency in success
so fatal to the work of God.
All for Jesus,
all for Mary,
all after your example,
O Patriarch Joseph.
Such shall be my motto in life and death.

Amen.

Run, hasten, O Lady,
and in your mercy help your sinful servant,
who calls upon you,
and deliver him from the hands of the enemy.
Who will not sigh to you?
We sigh with love and grief,
for we are oppressed on every side.
How can we do otherwise than sigh to you,
O solace of the miserable,
refuge of outcasts, ransom of captives?
We are certain that when you see our miseries,
your compassion will hasten to relieve us.
O our sovereign Lady and our Advocate,
commend us to your Son.
Grant, O blessed one, by the grace
which you have merited, that He who through
you was graciously pleased to become
a partaker of our infirmity and misery,
may also through your intercession,
make us partakers of his happiness and glory.

O Blessed Virgin, Mother of my God and Savior,
I honor and revere you in the first moment of your life.
I honor and revere the dispositions of your holy soul,
an all that took place in you at that time.

You began immediately, O holy Virgin, to love
and glorify God most perfectly,
and from that first moment to the last of your life,
you did ever love and glorify Him more and more.
As for me, in spite of all the years I have been in this world,
I have not yet begun to love and serve him as I should.

At a time like this, the prayer, “hearken to our prayer
and attend to the sound of our pleading”, is most appropriate.
We are praying that we be relieved of the effects
of the pandemic and the stress it has caused.
We are pleading for Your healing presence in the lives
of all of us especially those who have sacrificed
so much by their service to the suffering.

Amen.
